Boo is a my latest puppy - well, no longer a puppy. Many thanks to Ginnie Pastor of Morningstar Golden Retrievers for allowing Boo to share my life.
Boo is a breeding between Ginnie's Aimee and my male Kapp who was a well respected stud dog at the Seeing Eye of Morristown, NJ. Two of Boo's littermates are being raised as possible Seeing Eye dogs.
Boo is also my first foray into the world of field Goldens. She is only 1/4 field bred - Aimee's sire was
Comstocks Steelcity Superman ** MH WCX OS, but I am determined to keep and enhance the trainability and field instinct so vital to the Golden Retriever breed.
Boo is on the small side, but highly intelligent and extremely pretty. She is the only one of my dogs who has ever figured out how to open her crate to let herself out. Thankfully she is an excellent little girl and stays out of trouble when she lets herself out.
I plan to train her in field work to continue her legacy and of course obedience work. I'll see how she matures in a year or so before I decide on the breed ring for her. |
